Controls
These are the bindings in the client, not a wish list. Desktop and a phone share one world; the phone adds a stick and a rotate prompt.
Desktop
Move. Click or tap a ground tile. The walk starts when you release the pointer, on the same path a keyboard step would use. A blocked tile snaps to a nearby open one, and a destination marker shows where you are going. Clicking a creature, a person, a tombstone, or a city plot does not also walk the ground underneath.
The minimap (the small map button, labelled Minimap) walks you the same way. The click is converted from the minimap into a world tile and then uses that path. It does not fall through to the ground, and it does not open the large map.
W, A, S, D and the arrow keys walk. W is up the screen, S is down, A is left, D is right. Holding a walk key cancels a click path.
Hotbar. Keys 1–8 (and the matching number-pad keys) fire the eight slots. You can also press the buttons. An empty slot tells you nothing is there. What starts in the bar is on Classes.
Targeting. Click a creature to select it. Double-click it, or click it again quickly, and you attack. Right-click a creature attacks immediately. Space attacks your current target (a selected player is challenged the same way). Tab cycles targets. Escape clears the target, and also cancels aiming, building, the menu, or the top open panel.
Map. M, or Menu → Map, opens the large map of the Reach. Close it from the panel.
Character sheet, bag, guild, party. Menu → Sheet opens the character sheet. I, or Menu → Inventory, opens the bag. G, or Menu → Guild, opens the guild roster. Menu → Party opens the group window. Menu → Plots opens the city plots you can see.
Chat. The chat box sits on the screen. Menu → Chat shows or hides it. /g or /gsay speaks to the guild. Other slash commands cover guild invites and the city tools; an unknown command is rejected in the log.
Build. When a build session is open, Enter confirms a place or a demolish. Escape leaves the session.
Phone
A coarse pointer (a phone or a similar touch screen) uses the same clicks as a mouse. An on-screen stick walks at the same speed as the keys. Tap a creature to select it, and use the hotbar buttons for powers. Ground-targeted spells arm and then place, instead of firing on the first tap.
If the layout wants landscape, the screen says Rotate your phone. The Play / Create action tries to lock landscape and go fullscreen; if the browser refuses the lock, play continues anyway.
